Have you ever had an instance when printing a document that you would like to be able to only print the document once you arrive at the copier/printer?

Enter the Kyocera TASKalfa Private Print feature of the KX version 6.x.x driver!
How often do you have the need to print something that is confidential and the only office printer is six cubicles away? How do you handle these private print issues? If you are like most, you queue your document, get up out of your chair, begin the “lean” and press print and run as fast as you can to get the printer before anyone else has the opportunity to eye the document. If all goes well, by the time you get the printer the private print has not yet begun to exit the machine and all is good.
So, my problem with all of that is how often does that perfect set of events go awry? Did you arrive at the printer to find out that someone was already there? If you are the first in line and the machine jams on page 1 is it necessary to wait while guarding the printer? What if the boss stops you half way to the destination with “an important objective” that just can’t wait?
When using the Kyocera TASKalfa KX Driver, you have the option to Private Print! What is Private Print? Well image for a minute a world in which you can send a print job, include a ‘PIN CODE” prior to printing and be able to release the document once you are standing right in front of it.
Here’s how it works:
- While at the front page of the print driver properties, using the left hand navigation, choose JOB
- “Check” the box under Job Storage to enable the feature.
- At the drop down choice selection choose: Private Print
- Input a unique 4 digit access code in the box
- Press OK
That’s it! When you arrive at the machine there is a job box location to find your print job, enter your 4 digit code, and the document will begin to print with the comfort of knowing it will be for your eyes only.
I hope this helps? If you have any additional questions on Private Print or any of the other unique features of the Kyocera KX driver, please feel free to contact us.
